Dear Family:

Fr. Jordi Rivero.
Dependent of God towards a new life in Him.

The Gospel (Mc 1, 40-45
, Jesus heals the leper) moved me to pray that I may recognize my own leprosy and total dependency on Christ. I heard the Lord calling me to live as a leper humbly, gratefully, obediently, adoring Him and to allow Him to heal me. Then I should reach to others. This brought me to think about the beginning of my priestly vocation through the charismatic renewal, when the Holy Spirit gave me a deep awareness of the Lordship of Christ and called me to seek His council in prayer for everything. (His ways are not our ways).

I see that God calling me to Love Crucified is rekindling that flame. I remembered a prophecy from Fr. Francis Martin, a holy priest, Bible scholar, whose teaching has had a deep influence in me, and realized that I should go back to that prophecy. I remembered the prophecy's title!. But could not find it on a Google search. I searched all my old papers and found many wonderful teachings full of the Spirit. Finally I found the prophecy! I believe it is for all in our family.

"The Gold of a Precious Repentance"
Fr. Francis Martin, at closing of the New Orleans Congress on the Holy Spirit, July 25, 1987

I have called you to preach the gospel.
The word of the cross is foolishness to those who are on the way to destruction. To those who are being saved it is the power of God. (Cf. 1 Cor 1,18)

My people, I have told you in my Word that those who seek to be astonished find my cross a stumbling block. Those who seek to find their minds satisfied on their power find it foolishness. But I, your Lord crucified, am the wisdom of God and the power of God. (Cf. 1 Cor. 1,24; 1 Cor. 2,5)

I call you, my people, to glory in my cross. I call you, my people, to listen to what my servant, Paul, has already said
-far be it from me to glory in anything but the cross of Jesus Christ, through which I am crucified to the world and the world to me. (Cf. Gal 6,14)

And I have something to say to you leaders among my people. I have chosen you. You did not choose me. I have placed you to care for my people. I have committed myself to you and my blood to you but I have this against you. You compete with one another. You rely on human resources. You are attached to money. I tell you this - I have chosen you and because you preach my name, I will not count you as being against me. But unless you seek my will, unless you pour out your life before me, unless you tremble at my word, I cannot stand by what you do.

I tell you, my people, and I tell you, my leaders, listen to what I have to say.  I am the Lord, Jesus Christ. I am the foundation that has been laid, and there is no other. But I warn you because I love you, that you can build on me, the foundation. But if you do not come and lay out your life before me, if you rely on human resources and human emotions and human power you will build in straw and hay and wood and the fire of judgment will come and destroy your life's work. I tell you this because I love you.

It may seem splendorous in the eyes of men, but in my eyes, unless you are submitted to me and my word, it can be hay and straw. You will escape the fire of judgment as a man escaping from a burning building. But your work which seems so great can go up in smoke. (Cf. 1 Cor. 3 1-20)

Come to me. I will teach you if you will submit your lives. If you will abandon your reliance on your own power -if you will come- if you will peach to the poor- if you will care for those who are abandoned- if you will turn away from relying on your own egos and your own minds and your own resources, I will place you as a glorious stone in my crown.

You think that you are wise, that you have insight, that you are clothed with power, but I tell you, you are weak and poor and blind. And I tell you because I love you. Come to me, and I will give you the
gold of a precious repentance. And with this gold you can buy from me salve for your eyes and you can see. You can buy from me a white garment and you will be splendid in power. You can buy from me, and I will give you the gold of real wisdom. I promise you this, turn, stop relying on human power. Rely on me and preach my cause.

And to my people here, I, your Lord, will stand among the seven lampstands, the first and the last. I say to you, I am your Lord. I am the head of my body. I have never renounced my authority. I am the Lord of your lives. (Cf. Rev 2,1-5) I know what you suffer. I know how many of you have been disappointed by your pastors and your teachers and those who should guide you. But I tell you, my people, look to me and I will feed you. Look to me and I will guide you. Look to me and I will teach you. I tell you, my people, pray for those who lead you and I will change their hearts and I will raise up leaders.

And to you, my children who are here, those who do not know me. I tell you that I am Jesus, your savior. And this night, I promise you, if you will turn from sin, if you will cease to fear darkness and turn to me, you will know me, and you will know my salvation. Turn to me. Renounce your sin and come to me.

And to all of you I say, this is the person of whom I have regard -the one who is lowly and afflicted and trembles at my word. This is the glory I promise you.

This prophecy is a call from the Lord to preach the Gospel without compromise. This requires to live and proclaim fully the power and wisdom of the cross and not to yield to fear or the ways of the world.  We need to learn how reliance on our own logic and other natural things has blocked the power of God in our lives.  If we truly repent and turn to Him, He will give us a share in His glory.

1 Cor. 1:18 -The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 Cor. 1:24 but to those who are called, Jews and Greeks alike, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

1 Cor. 2:5 so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God.

Gal. 6:14 But may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which * the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

1 Cor. 3
:9 For we are God's co-workers; you are God's field, God's building.
:10 * According to the grace of God given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building upon it. But each one must be careful how he builds upon it,
:11 for no one can lay a foundation other than the one that is there, namely, Jesus Christ.
:12 If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw,
:13 the work of each will come to light, for the Day will disclose it. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire (itself) will test the quality of each one's work.
:14 If the work stands that someone built upon the foundation, that person will receive a wage.
:15 But if someone's work is burned up, that one will suffer loss; the person will be saved, * but only as through fire.
:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
:17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God, which you are, is holy.*
:18 Let no one deceive himself. If any one among you considers himself wise in this age, let him become a fool so as to become wise.
:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in the
eyes of God, for it is written:
"He catches the wise in their own ruses,"
:20 and again: "The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain."

Rev 2
:1  "To the angel of the church in Ephesus, write this: " 'The one who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks in the midst of the seven gold lampstands says this:
:2 "I know your works, your labor, and your endurance, and that you cannot tolerate the wicked; you have tested those who call themselves apostles but are not, and discovered that they are impostors.
:3 Moreover, you have endurance and have suffered for my name, and you have not grown weary.
:4 Yet I hold this against you: you have lost the love you had at first.
:5 Realize how far you have fallen. Repent, and do the works you did at first. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your
lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

Revelation  3:15-22  "I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing; not knowing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. Therefore I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may be rich, and white garments to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nakedness from being seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and chasten; so be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. He who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"
