Thanksgiving

The first Thanksgiving in what is today USA, celebrated by Europeans and Indians together, took place in St. Augustine Fla, on Sept 8 of 1565, way before the Pilgrims. It was actually a Eucharist. 

Spanish soldiers, civilians and Timucuan Indians participated.  Eucharist actually means Thanksgiving.  At the Eucharist we give thanks to the Lord for our redemption, we respond by offering ourselves as one with HIM to the Father!  

We honor and respect the Pilgrims for what they did, but being Calvinists they did not have the Eucharist. So the symbol for the feast became a Turkey.

THE TRUE THANKSGIVING IS NOT TURKEY BUT THE EUCHARIST!!!
