Solitude of Mary
Mary´s heart was pierced not only at Calvary but throughout her life as the mother of the Pierced One. Every offense against her son is a piercing of her heart. Her solitude and suffering as co-redemptrix was the hidden force through which God gave the disciples the graces they needed. She continues now to be the Queen Mother giving her sons and daughters the graces that Christ won at the cross.
According to an ancient tradition, Mary is specially venerated on Saturdays. This is to remember her sorrows and solitude of Holy Saturday which she experienced until her Asumption.
